My wife noticed that the washer was out of balance and that it had been making a noise when it was turning. I pulled the front off and found melted plastic around the front of the drum. I know I need to replace the front tub but is there anything that I should look for so that this will not happen again? Also other then the front tub is there any other gasket or o-ring that I might need when I go to change this?
ANSWER Hello Matt,
You will want to look to for a bad bearing WH45X10071 or a broken spin basket WH45X10079. These are the most likely causes of the front tub having melted plastic.
