I am ordering shelves for an ice maker that broke. I looked at the water filter to see if it needs to be changed. The date on the Culligan filter is Jun 2001, I think it might need to be changed, what do you think? HA! The part number on the filter Cartridge is FXRC, but I think it has been discontinued. From what I have read today an adapter is required. Which GE filter is the correct one to purchase, as it seems I see two different filters listed?

ANSWER Hello Aron! If you have never replaced the water filter and will be using the MWF filter, part number MWF, the adapter ADAPTER will be needed. Thanks!
