The original water line sprung a leak near the valve end of the tubing. When replacing the tubing, I do not seem to be able to push the tube into the valve side far enough in. When I turn the ice maker back on, the tubing exhibits a slow leak at the valve. One of your earlier answers to Jc says to push the valve squarely and firmly ...(not easy). How do you push it into the valve so it doesn't leak anymore?
ANSWER Hello. You will want to remove the line and cut about 1/2" off the water line. It seems there may be a bur there. Make sure the cut is straight and smooth. Then the line will press in and you will feel it click. The click shows it is locked in properly.
