How do you remove the evaporator coils to install a new heater & bracket assembly? We already replaced the thermostat and seem to be working ok.
ANSWER Hello Mark,
You do not, for any reason, remove the evaporator coils. If you do the freon will escape and the unit will not cool. Simply remove the back wall of the freezer compartment and there will be two screws at each heating element to remove it. The wires are routed down each side of the coils and the harness plugs in at the top.
