The coils in the freezer keep freezing up causing the frig to get warm. A repairman checked the heating element and thought it was ok, but replaced it with a new one. Both were singles. It's still freezing up. After reading several articles, I'm under the impression that a double one is suggested as a replacement. Am I understanding this correctly?
ANSWER Hello Nancy. Either is fine as long as it was the correct one for the model number. If the heater is good and the thermostat is good, you will need to order and replace the main board on the unit.
