The helix on my icemaker spins freely and slides back and forth. It appears to be intact, so the question is whether I can just replace the helix lock in order to make sure it turns with the auger, or do I need to buy both the helix and the lock.
ANSWER Hello Ed. You will need to remove the helix WR17X11457 and see if it is broke. If not, and the lock WR17X11458 should fix the problem. Hope this helps.
