Hi. We have a new GE JVM1750 with incandescent cooktop lighting, which is rather weak. I would like to replace these bulbs with halogen units. I've removed the existing bulbs and their sockets - now I just need a new socket that will accept the same microwave wiring plug but for a push-in halogen bulb, rather than the screw-in incandescent. Any suggestions? Thanks!
ANSWER Lee, The reccomendation would be to re install the original sockets and light bulbs. Halogen Lamps produce a lot more heat than incandescent bulbs, and you may create other issues, and safety issues as well.
