Does the swing arm on the side of the ice maker move freely up and down; and if so, what is the distance of travel. Mine does not appear to be down at all. I get some ice, but have always had to buy extra ice with this thing even when new. This swing arm appears to be stuck in the "off" position. I can move it up and down, but it springs right back up.
ANSWER Hello Charles. The feeler arm on this model stays up. It turns off and on through the unit, not the arm. The temperature inside the freezer determines the amount of ice being produced. If the unit is not operating properly, you may need to replace the icemaker WR30X10097. Hope this helps.
