The plastic swing arm broke off near the ice maker and the unit no longer makes ice. I can despence ice through door by adding bagged, small-size ice into tray. Is this repairable or do I replace the ice maker? Any guidance on removing and replacing unit?

ANSWER Hello Chuck,
There are no replacement parts available for this style ice maker. The only fix for it is to replace the complete ice maker assembly WR30X10097.
To replace the ice maker assembly, remove the ice bin and look at the bottom left side of the opening the bin had occupied. There is a single Phillips head screw that must be removed. Once removed, hook it with a small screwdriver and pull it toward you. It will slide out and off of the clip in the rear. Disconnect the wiring harness and depress the tab at the front center of the ice maker and pull forward at the same time. The installation is the exact opposite.
