My dryer doesnt heat up anymore. First you hear the ignitor coming on and the heat comes out of the exhaust, but then cools after a few seconds. Ive tested the coils at 2000k and reads anywhere from 2.0 to .5 on the dual and 1.4 on the main. Im understanding from all the research ive done that refers to as closed. Can you confirm is this is a good reading please. Also Ive noticed my inlet control thermis is reading 97.5 is this normal and what is this part designed to do? Is this part related to my no heat situation?
ANSWER Hello Daniel. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the coils are failing on the unit and will need to be replaced. You will need to replace both coils WE4X692 and WE4X693 on the unit.
