The only reason I am looking for replacement knobs is because the ones provided with the new stove are sub par. The covering melts with the heat of the oven. My oven knobs look unsightly, with puckered, bubbling surfaces.
So, I need to know what the material is on the replacement knobs with certainty. But this begs the question: why do I have to pay to replace?
I would hope that GE would endeavor to maintain good customer relations and provide free first time replacement knobs instead of expecting the customer, ME, to have to fork over hard earned money to replace a substandard fixture. All due respect here. Please consider this thoughtfully.
ANSWER Hello Sapphire. The knobs WB03T10266 are made of plastic and metal. We are not the manufacture of the parts, and you would need to contact the manufacture about this situation. However, if you purchase the knobs from us, we do offer a 1 year warranty on the parts in case they fail or break. Here is a link to our warranty for you. Hope this helps. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/customerservice/warranty.aspx
