The bulb in my GE dryer burns out very quickly each time I replace it lasts about two uses. Is it possible it requires a 240 volt bulb or that it is incorrectly wired to 240 VAC.
ANSWER Hello Mike. You need to check and make sure the switch is turning the unit off and if so, you may need to replace the socket for the bulb on the unit. The bulb is 120, not 240.
