Oven shuts off on warm up. Display gives code F1. What would fix the problem?
ANSWER Hello Chris! Here is the information regarding an F1 failure code on your GE Range:
Failure Code: F1
Failure Code Description: Stuck touch pad
Failure Code Solution: Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.
The electronic control on your unit is part number WB27K5048. Unfortunately, this item has been discontinued with no replacements available from the manufacture. The black control panel assembly WB36K5087 has also been discontinued from the manufacture. The white control panel assembly is showing available but out of stock at this time, part number WB36K5088.
Hope this information helps you!
