I put in five potatoes to cook for 5 minutes. They weren't done, put another 3 minutes on the timer and it stopped working somewhere in those 3 minutes. Microwave blew a house rocker fuse. Top Back right hand side of the unit was very hot. Did not work even after cooling down and putting rocker fuse back in position. From reading online, suspect it has blown internal fuse. Internal fuse is part of the noise filter (p/n: AP3792775) part 1420 on your diagram. Question is: where is this part? I want to take the part out and make sure it's blown before ordering it? I need to know how to access this part and confirm the fuse is blown. Thank you.
ANSWER Hello Kelly. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the magnetron, diode, and fuse will all need to be replaced. Most likely, the bad mag is what got the breaker and the fuse and the reason the unit was not cooking.
