Family member turned off power from a main source outside the house. Frig has staying warm ever since. Both freezer and frig are warm not matter if I set it to the coldest setting. Would this be a bad mother board and or thermostat?
ANSWER Hello Paul,
You will want to check to make sure that the control board is sending power to the compressor to turn on. If you have 120 vac on the control board between the COMP and N terminals. This will be on the 4 spade connector with blue protector. If not 120 vac then the control board is bad. If there is 120 vac then you will want to pull the start relay and shake it. If it rattles then the relay needs to be replaced.
