When I press the power on my GE front load dryer, the display flashes and beeps once with "32" and the "clean lint filter" and then goes blank. If I press the power again right after the display goes blank, sometimes I get an error code "E62". I have cleaned the lint filter and exhaust duct but same problem. I replaced the user control board, but the same problem. If I press the start/pause during the brief second the display is lit up the drum/motor turns over. Should I now replace the power board?
ANSWER Hello Jo,
E62 = System Contact Error. System contact error is just a fancy way of saying the washer has a loose connection. This connection can be anywhere on the machine, so check all connection plugs by unplugging and re-connecting all connections one at a time. If you don’t find a loose connection, replace the control panel.
