Dryer has display power, but will not start(no heat and no motor turning). The dryer does not go into diagnostic mode (I have matching washer, and that goes into diagnostic mode). Placed both thermistors on meter as well as thermostats and belt switch, door switch. Motor turns by hand and does not smell burnt. When I push the start button the dryer counter counts down in seconds and not minutes. Which board should I order? The control board or the power board?
You will want to check to make sure that the door switch is good. Check the continuity of the switch when the door is closed. If no continuity then the door switch WE4M415 is faulty and needs to be replaced. There is also a switch WD21X10261 located by the motor. You will also want to check this switch to ensure that it is good. If faulty it would need to be replace. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
