How does one gain access to replace this harness, from the top or side? How are the panels best removed to do it? Thanks! FYI, the GE parts lists show WRONG part number for this item. (WB34K5140 is WRONG. This WB18K10006 is correct).
ANSWER Hello Dilbird,
I thought we had made a mistake until I checked with other websites to include GEs' website. They initiated the problem and it has been copied by all of the parts distributors. The only way we can do anything at all about it is to submit the issue to research with a model and serial number. If the model number isn't accompanied by a serial number, GE won't even respond to the inquiry. If you could re-post with a serial number, we can submit the request and get the website corrected.
In order to access the meat probe jack, the main top has to be raised to access the screws under it that hold on the body side, which have to be removed. The screws in the back that go through the body side have to be removed also.
