how does the fan blade come off of and go onto the new motor ?

ANSWER Rt Hook, It's a "slip on" friction fit. Once you get the motor dismounted from the housing and bracket, pull the fan blade off the shaft, push it onto the new motor shaft, The metal "friction" ring goes away from the motor and as long as it doesn't get distorted will hold the blade onto the new motor shaft.
