When I remove the auger motor and find that the motor is faulty, can I restore power to the frigerator and operate without the panel being replaced until I can order the new parts? Of course I will also disable the ice maker until repair can be completed. I'm hoping the motor is just frozen but I'll not know until I can check it out.

ANSWER Hi Lamar. Tape off all connections so they do not short out. Yes, you can shut the ice maker off and refrain from using buttons. Auger motor is part # WR60X10262. Thank you.
