My GE gas oven has a leak coming from the bottom burner tube even when the oven (and range) is off. Any suggestions on what could be causing this issue? Thank you!
ANSWER Hello John, thanks for providing your model number, JGB908SEK1SS. If you are smelling gas around the bottom burner tube, it is sitting on top of the valve/regulator assembly WB19K10043. You need to replace the assembly if it is leaking. Sometimes it is difficult to determine exactly where the leak is coming from. Make sure you have disconnected the power, turned off the gas, and observe all safety precautions in doing the repair. If you're unsure about doing it yourself, you could order the part and have a gas tech install it. Hope this helps!
