The new igniter I ordered came with bare ended wires and wire nuts. The old igniter has 2 different kind of female ends that plug into the stove. Can I cut about 3" of wire with the female ends from the old igniter and wire nut and tape them to the ends of the new igniter and then just connect the ends the same way?
would that be safe? if not then what?
ANSWER Hello Moe. Sure it is fine to do that type of install. Just be sure and use the ceramic wire nuts with the install.
