Hi there and Happy Holidays,
I have a GE Oven, Model JGBP30WEV4WW. While the oven was on, we smelled a gas odor. We did not notice the issue when the stove top burners were on.
We contacted the local gas company who came out to inspect it. They said it was not a gas supply leak but it was an oven part that was causing the smell/leakage. They noted that it was the "safety" which was also making a quick "thup-thup-thup" continuous noise. Does this seem accurate? If so, is Oven Safety Valve, Dual Type P/N AP2022753 the correct item to fix this issue?
ANSWER Hello Mark. Based on the information you provided, WB19K14 is the part you will need to order to replace the part for the leak. If the gas valve is bad, it can cause a leak in the gas.
