I have a Hotpoint Drop-In Range and the burners work fine, but the oven will not work. When I press BAKE, then put in desired temperature, and press BAKE again, it says ON and after several seconds it switches to 100 Degrees as it always has. Here is what goes wrong all of a sudden--instead of climbing temperature to desired input temperature--after about 15 seconds it merely 'shuts off' (the lighted up temperature and ON just turn off). The only thing I can think is maybe it is the oven sensor? It did this about a month ago, but then I tried it the next day and it worked fine until now.

ANSWER Hello Pete, This sounds like the ERC WB27K5140 has failed. The temperature sensor will not shut the unit down without a fault code popping up.
