I just replaced the helix in my ice maker but it spins freely. I also noticed that the helix lock where the shaft goes through is rounded and not oval like the picture. Does this hole have to be oval and fit tightly around the shaft?
ANSWER George, Yes, the helix plate has to have the oval opening, and it also has to snap and lock into place on the back of the helix WR17X11457 . These two component cause the cubes to separate, and drives them through the drum and out the bin. Thanks
