The spring inside the replacement seal pulls the shaft of the motor out so far, the blades of the motor grind into the back plate after I screw on the impeller. Am I missing a spacer? I didn't see anything different from the original parts.

ANSWER Hello Clint. If there is no spacer missing, it may be that the motor is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit. You need to use all the parts sent in the kit WD19X10032.
