The reservior does not fill up all the time and the unit makes a grunting sound. When I manually pour water into the reservior, it resumes normal operation and makes ice. So why is the resevior not filling up all the time?
ANSWER Hello Chris,
The water inlet valve needs to be replaced unless you can find a leak that is allowing the water to leak out of the water reservoir. The grunting sound you her is referred to by technicians as surging. This sound is made when the pump runs out of water to pump and grabs a "gulp" of air. Right here I usually list the part number, but there are about 50 model numbers that begin with the part of the model number you listed. For the exact replacement parts, it must be looked up by the model number that is on your units' I.D. tag. You can either repost with the full model number or you can call our toll free number and one of our operators will be happy to look the correct part number up for you.
