I have this model GE profile fridge and it recently started motorboating every time the turbo fan runs. I`m thinking that the fan has lost its bushings and is about ready to fail. Sometimes it sounds fine and other times sounds like a small plane taking off. I`m pretty sure this fan is the culpret as I`ve had computers using the same cheap style muffin fans. If so I will need a breakdown of the back of the fridge compartment to gain access to the fan. I don`t want to do any damage to the plastic pieces gaining access to the fan.
To access the fan you will need to pull the rear compartment of the freezer completely apart. We would need a model number and email to be able to see if we have information that we could send. All the of the components are held in by 1/4" screws. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx
