My oven has a problem heating up. It gets to about 100 deg, but no more. the broiler works fine, and the stovetop works fine. A repair guy came out and tapped on what I thought was the pressure regulator, and the stove heated up properly after that. BUT, he said I needed a new oven Safety valve, which is a different part! I am confused now. COuld my problem indeed be the Pressure Regulator, and NOT the Oven Safety Valve?? thanks
ANSWER Hello Richard. No, the issue is the safety valve, not the regulator. It does not affect the regulator to tap on it, but it does the gas safety valve WB19K36.
