My GE refrigerator/top freezer runs continuously but the freezer section does not freeze. Both freezer and refrigerator seem to be about 40 degrees. The fans are running but I dont think compressor is turning on. Can you tell me what causes this and if there is a way for me to check it before I buy parts? Thanks, Barry
ANSWER Hello Barry,
Pull the unit out from the wall and unplug it. Remove the bottom rear cover and take the device off of the side of the compressor. If it rattles when you shake it, the start relay WR07X10051 has failed and needs to be replaced.
