My washer has the original part on it a couple of weeks ago I noticed that the knob that lets you choose the wash cycle was stripped. I ordered all 3 replacement parts when I received the parts today I noticed the compression ring. The knob has notches on it and it mates with another plastic part that is how you choose your wash cycles. I do not think that compression ring can replace it. your answer please.
ANSWER Hello Gregory. The only part you will need to replace to repair the issue with the unit is the knob WH01X10061. The dial assembly WH11X10033 comes with the ring already on it.
