Dryer starts as soon as the timer knob is turned to a cycle. If the door is opened, it will stop, but will start again as soon as the door is shut. The start switch no longer springs back like it used to and everything operates normally except you don't have to use the start switch.
ANSWER Hello Dan. You will need to replace the start switch. Hope this helps.
