I have attached the water line after not having it hooked up for some time. The lever on the ice maker was left in it's downward (on) position. With all things being in the ready to make ice status, I do not seem to have a working ice maker or water dispenser. The outside door light within the switch panel still works. What do I need to do to fix the ice/water dispensing?
Thanks for your help.
ANSWER Hello Kurt,
If the unit was running for a long time with no water hooked up to the ice maker and it was allowed to continue to cycle, the mold heater is probably burned out in the ice maker WR30X10001. The water valve WR57X10051 will probably have to be replaced because the seals will stick if it is left open to atmosphere. Replacing the water valve should correct the water fill on the ice maker and the water dispense.
