I have a GE DRSR495EG6WW dryer. It runs but does not heat at all. I only use the timer setting. I have removed the drum and tested the heating elements. It is the type with 3 rows of heaters mounted on a mica board. All 3 rows test fine for continuity. I have done room temperature testing on the three temperature sensors located on the heater housing and the one located near the exhaust fan. All 4 sensors test fine for continuity.
What else could be wrong and how would I test it?
ANSWER Hello Bill. If all is good and the voltage is good, then either the motor or the control is bad on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
