Im having problem with GE side by side. Freezer has frost on back wall, but warming up, and fridge is warming up. Condensor fan is running, all is clean, fresh food side I just changed the damper fan. If its the thermostats in fresh food side, how do you install??? Pry out and splice??? I still have to check the heater and if all fails the control board too.

George for Model Number GSS23QGTABB

ANSWER Hello George. If there is frost, you will need to test the heater WR51X10055, and the defrost thermostat WR50X10068. They should read closed for continuity when cold. If they are good, you will need to replace the main board WR55X10942. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
