I have a lot of frost/ice formation inside the ice chute. The flapper and the solenoid seem to be working fine. Does the solenoid lose range of motion over the years causing the flapper to leave a small gap and letting air in? Will this be fixed with a new solenoid alone?

ANSWER Hello Deepind. The solenoid gets rusty and causes it not to close all the way. It sounds like the solenoid assembly WR62X107 will need to be replaced if there is a gap there.
