Following a spillage (boil-over) a rumbling sound accompanied with continuous clicks (same as igniter) started and continued until power was removed. When cool the top was cleaned. When power was restored the sounds and clicks resumed. Any suggestions?
ANSWER Hello David. Make sure all parts are dry and if so, either the spark switch or the spark module will need to be replaced on the unit. If you test the switches in the off position, they should read open for continuity. If they are closed, they are bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
