I'm getting a lot of frost at the opening under the ice maker and I believe I have found that the door flap doesn't shut all the way without a shove. I think this may be why ice forms and the freezer door gets stuck. Here are my questions, do you have to disassemble the inside of the freezer door to be able to change this part or is it accessible form the front? Is this a common reason frost would form in the ice shoot?

ANSWER Hello Bobby, Yes, that is the reason for the frost and ice build up. You can remove the dispenser cover and access the parts to repair the broken flapper. There is no need to do the repair from the inside of the unit.
