I have a 3 in 1 element on the front burner. The coil tries to heat and then stops. Because it tries to heat ( the temp comes upto about 150 or so degrees and then cuts off). I am wondering if there is a cut off switch somewher. IN the center of the coil there is some sort of a sensor. I have removed and joined the 2 wires but it still does not work.

ANSWER Hello Ben. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the switch may be bad in the unit. It sounds like the element is working, if it heats up. Hope this helps.
