Thanks for explaining how to test the unit. I still need an answer as to how to get the top off to access the switch and valve on this unit. Is the top held on by the burner plates? Take off the burner plates, unplug the igniter tip's wire and then the top lifts off? Also, is the spark control module on the back of the unit? I don't see it inside, under the top, through the burner plate opening.
ANSWER Hi Joe. Remove power. Remove door. Remove the end caps off the control panel. Remove knobs. Remove the 4- screws under the control panel. Access and remove the top panel screws. The switches are set on the burner shaft. They will pull off the shafts one by one. This is part # WB24T10071. Thank you.
