The freezer interior light isn't working. The bulb is fine. The freezer/refrigerator works fine. Only light is problem. It appears the light switch in door panel may be stuck. How can we check this? Is replacement a do it yourself job? May also be a light socket problem? No ice formed behind socket. All clean there.
ANSWER Hello Michel. If you remove the switch WR23X473 from the unit and unplug the wires, you can test for continuity. It should read closed across the terminals with the swwitch in the door open position. If it is open, you will need to replace the door switch. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
