Motor operates a long time. Both fridge and freezer set at 5, now fridge is droping to 28-29. When I turn the temp control down to 1 it shuts off. I now have both set at 3 to keep the temps right. Could this be the temp control? All coils are clean, fans operate, compressor is fine. Thanks Gary

ANSWER Hello Gary. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the temperature control WR9X599 is bad and will need to be replaced. You will need to check and see if the damper assembly WR9X522 is opening and closing properly in the unit as well. If not, you will need to replace the damper assembly as well. Hope this helps.
