Troubleshooting a light flicker with a GE Monogram Range Vent Hood Model ZV850SB. The 4 Halogen lights will pulse/flicker randomly usually upon first start of the day. All other electronic functions (panel lights, button, fan motor) work normally. 110v pwr feed appears to be fine. I'm thinking its the 12V Isolation Transformer p/n AP2021482. Only other control item would the PC Board AP3193314. Your thoughts? Thanks!
ANSWER Dean, You need to check the triac circuit first WB02X10402 " The triac controls the four hood lamps and is mounted in a box in the chimney area. Triac has an isolated case, which is mounted to the chimney with two screws. IMPORTANT: Triac wire connection must be correct or lamp flickering could occur. The Triac can be checked for elecrical short by removing the Black wirelead and measuring the resistance between the two 1/4 in. terminals (termianls with black and brown wires). The resistance should be greater than 1m ohm resistance. If the triac and wires check proper, then replace the control PC Board WB27X10553
