In shower wash cycle, washer does not spin and after sometime I some heating smell is there. Sometimes if I switch off the washer for few hours and rotate the inside drum by hand and start the washer, it works fine. I have got new motor installed recently. I think it is transmission problem. Pl help me. Thanks, Pradeep

Pradeep for Model Number WISR309DTBWW Top load GE washing machine (220 volts)

ANSWER Pradeep, If there is an issue with the spin cycle you will want to check to make sure that there is nothing caught between the inner and outer tub of the unit. It may also be possible that the bearings are hanging up causing the unit to not spin.
