I need some help in doing a clean and inspect of my GE Profile dryer DPVH880EJWW which through some research have found the model number to be superseded by DPVH880EJ0WW. Review of the part diagrams for both shows the same parts.
While I was vacuuming the filter housing, I believe I may have knocked some lint down into the blower wheel from the sucking noise I’m hearing when I started the dryer. So my next step would be to take the covers of the dryer and perform a clean and inspect to determine if the blower wheel is damaged.
I understand to do this I must first remove the top panel, then the control panel, and finally the front panel. Sounds pretty easy, but I cannot crack the code on removing the top panel.
I've removed the two screws in the back of the top panel and tried to slide it off, lift it off, and a combination of both, but the top panel will not come off. What have I missed or doing wrong that I cannot remove the top panel to get to the control panel and then the front panel?
Thank you Lint Bunnies
ANSWER Lint Bunnies,
There are 3 screws in the top panel that hold the panel in place. You will want to locate the 3rd screw and remove.
