I'd love to buy part WD35X194 (the unicoupler) for my GE Nautilus portable dishwasher, but there does not seem to be an easy way to replace the old one. Do I have to take off the top, and then the outer shell, first, or is there a simpler solution? I'm unemployed and really can't afford a new one or to have this one "professionally" repaired. It leaks at the faucet where the four plastic "discs" are worn, otherwise, it still runs great. Thanks.
ANSWER Leonard, It's not a real easy repair to make, but then it's not that hard either. Yes, you will need to remove the top panel, as well as the lower access panel on the front, below the door. Disconnect the fill hose from the valve and the drain hose from the pump connector, it'll be a bit tight, but doable. Removing the coupler pocket WD12M79 from the back of the cabinet will make it a bit easier to work with, but isn't mandatory. Cut or remove any retainers(wire ties) and pull the assembly out of the unit. Reverse the process and you're done, It shouldn't takr that long or be that difficult.
