Finley for Model Number jgbs04pv1wh

ANSWER Finley, You will need to turn off the gas supply to the range at the wall. Remove the grates and anything on the cooktop and raise the top, you can use the prop rod, or remove the top as you wish. Remove all the knobs from the manifold assembly, remove the screws securing the manifold panel top to the manifold pipe and the screws that hold the bottom of the panel to the oven frame, and slide the panel out towards you and set it aside. You should now have access to all the burner valves and tubes. Using an open end wrench or crescent wrench loosen and disconnect the brass colored compression nut on the burner tube, from the burner valve( be careful not to kink, twist or damage the tube or fitting). Loosen and remove the gas valve mounting bolt on the top of the manifold pipe with a socket or wrench, while holding the gas valve in position( don't allow the valve to twist or turn, and don't force anything). The valve will drop out of the bottom of the pipe, once the bolt is removed. Reverse the procedure, turn on the gas at the wall, light the pilots and check for gas leaks at the new valve and any loosened connectors, using a soapy solution and check for bubbles from the fittings and connections. Good Luck and Thanks
