Our GE Profile gas oven (10 yrs old) takes very long to preheat (40+ minutes) and cook. The broiler works fine. We took the pan off the bottom to see the burner and saw that the flame is very low when the bake option is on, barely visible. Recently the burner is not lighting, glow stick red, yet we could smell gas. I expect the problem is the gas control valve for the lower burner, but would like some advice.
ANSWER Hello Joe. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control valve WB19K36 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Hope this helps.
