The way this is wired is there are two wires that come down to the oven and hook to the gas valve with spade connectors. The wires to the ignitor are pig tailed into those wires so that the current coming to the ignitor and the valve is 120. I tested by connecting my meter to those spade connectors when they were detatched from the gas valve and the the oven switch on. Would I have gotten a different reading if the spade connectors were plugged into the valve? Thanks, Jim

Jim for Model Number xl 44

ANSWER Hello Jim. Yes, you should get a different reading when connected on the valve. If you read the lable on the side of the valve it is 3.3-4.0 volts AC. That is the reading you should get with the wires connected to the valve. Hope this helps.
