Thank you for your help. I did get the recomended voltage once the ingitor was installed. It also appears that the gas valve is working properly. I was wondering if moving the ignitor about an inch forward would help with the slow ignition issue. It seems the glowing part of the coil is back a bit far behind the slit that runs across beneath the burner unit. If you blow on the burner it lights or if you hold a match to it. But there is a noticable smell of gas and a slight hissing sound and then after quite a while it lights. Any thoughts? Jim
ANSWER Hello Jim. Yes, if you can get the igniter closer to the gas, it will ignite better. Hope this helps.
